ABOUT HEART FOR LEBANON

It All Began With a Response

Leading people from despair to hope by sharing the gospel and love of Jesus Christ with those who need it most. We journey with families and communities toward restoration and renewed life in Christ.

INTRODUCTION

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." —Matthew 28:19

Heart for Lebanon makes disciples by meeting physical and spiritual needs across Lebanon. We meet people where they are and walk with them toward hope in Christ.

What begins as care becomes relationship, and what becomes relationship becomes discipleship.
OUR STORY

How It All Began...

In 2006, war fractured Lebanon. Families were displaced. Communities were shaken.

In that moment, God stirred a calling: respond to suffering with love and point people to Christ. What began as emergency relief during the July War became a long-term commitment to walk with the vulnerable.

From the beginning, Heart for Lebanon served families from many backgrounds—not only to provide aid, but to share the Gospel. Through refugee crises, economic collapse, natural disasters, and ongoing conflict, the calling has remained the same.

20 years later, lives have been changed, churches planted, children educated, women empowered, and leaders equipped.

The story is still being written.

Our Calling

These words shape how we serve, love, and walk with others. They guide our daily work and our long hope for what God is building through Heart for Lebanon.

Our Mission

To make disciples of Jesus Christ by responding to physical and spiritual needs among refugee and vulnerable families in Lebanon.

Our Vision

Driven by the compassionate heart of Jesus, we exist to see lives changed and communities transformed through the Gospel.

OUR PHILOSOPHY OF MINISTRY

“How can they believe if they have not heard?"

Romans 10:14

That question shapes everything we do. Our calling is simple: meet people where they are, build relationships, introduce them to Jesus, and equip them to make disciples. We respond to physical need because love must be seen—but relief is only the beginning. True transformation happens when people encounter Christ and grow as His disciples.

This takes shape through:

  • Meeting urgent needs through Access Ministries
  • Breaking the cycle of poverty through education
  • Growing faith communities by spreading the Gospel
  • Multiplying disciples through Missional Leadership

The Word of God Informs Our Mission and Approach

Our Statement of Faith shares the convictions that guide how we care for others and carry out our work across Lebanon.

God is writing a story of hope through ordinary people responding in love.
Answer the call to be part of the work that has reached more than 60,000 families and continues to grow.
