Relational Engagement

Heart for Lebanon believes that humanitarian aid and education is extremely important to the wellbeing and future of those in need. We also believe when done properly it is a natural opportunity for authentic conversations to develop. Conversations are vitally important in any culture but, especially in a Middle Eastern context, and become a key way for people to express themselves on many topics.

Once the family has been given practical care in the form of meeting the basic needs of food and shelter along with education for children, we work to address the emotional and spiritual needs of families. This is accomplished through regular home visits, spiritual programs and children’s activities building lasting and authentic relationships. It also allows the Heart for Lebanon Team to share their personal journey, which includes our love for Jesus Christ. It is the authentic relationship, treating people with dignity and building trust, that leads to real change and begins the process of reconciliation through spiritual discipleship.
